The overarching goal of this project is to preserve in a collaborative way the 2010 Olympics to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in February 2010 and the Paralympic Games to follow in March 2010.
This project was also established to enable institutions to experiment with tools and processes that facilitate collaborative definition, collection and accessibility of web data and to create a data set that can be shared/accessed by all IIPC members. What we learn through this project will help us develop recommendations for tools and processes that will be applied to the 2012 Olympics archives project.
