What We Talk About When We Talk About Race is the culmination of a year-long discussion and production process that took place between African-American and White students and professors in the Department of Communication Studies. What began as a set of informal dinners, in which they slowly, haltingly, and gradually told stories about themselves, their families, and their histories with race, has resulted in a devised production that includes personal narrative and adaptations of literature that reveal what they learned on their journey from conversations to a performance that has been collaboratively conceived, written, and directed. Among their performances, the play served as the finale for this year’s 2018 Equity and Diversity Conference. The conference cut of this performance also features Shawn Brewer of Peterbilt, the conference’s production sponsor.</p>Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-𝖪N)(4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine-𝖪²N,N')platinum(II) bis(tetra-fluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers2018-07-05T20:11:10-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1212011/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1212011/"><img alt="Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-𝖪N)(4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine-𝖪²N,N')platinum(II) bis(tetra-fluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers" title="Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-𝖪N)(4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine-𝖪²N,N')platinum(II) bis(tetra-fluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1212011/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This article describes the crystal structure of a platinum(II) supramolecular building block, [Pt-(dbbpy)NNCCH₃)₂](BF₄)₂ (dbbpy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine, C₁₈H₂₄N₂).</p>Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-κN)(4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine-κ2N,N′)platinum(II) bis(tetrafluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers2020-08-03T15:07:04-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705465/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705465/"><img alt="Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-κN)(4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine-κ2N,N′)platinum(II) bis(tetrafluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers" title="Crystal structure of bis(acetonitrile-κN)(4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine-κ2N,N′)platinum(II) bis(tetrafluoridoborate) packing as head-to-head dimers" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705465/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>Article discusses the crystal structure of a platinum(II) supramolecular building block, [Pt(dbbpy)(NCCH3)2](BF4)2 (dbbpy = 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine, C18H24N2).</p>Cotton CENTRORADIALIS/TERMINAL FLOWER 1/SELF-PRUNING genes functionally diverged to differentially impact plant architecture2019-02-19T20:29:26-06:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1453740/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1453740/"><img alt="Cotton CENTRORADIALIS/TERMINAL FLOWER 1/SELF-PRUNING genes functionally diverged to differentially impact plant architecture" title="Cotton CENTRORADIALIS/TERMINAL FLOWER 1/SELF-PRUNING genes functionally diverged to differentially impact plant architecture" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1453740/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This article characterizes the CETS gene family from tetraploid cotton in order to understand the regulation of cotton architecture and exploit these principles to enhance crop productivity.</p>Methods and results from the genome-wide association group at GAW202018-10-31T18:58:38-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1310102/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1310102/"><img alt="Methods and results from the genome-wide association group at GAW20" title="Methods and results from the genome-wide association group at GAW20" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1310102/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This article reports on promising statistical approaches and findings of the members of the Genome-wide Association Study group applied on real and simulated data which encompass the current topics of epigenetic and pharmacogenomics.</p>2018 Equity and Diversity Conference: What We Talk About When We Talk About Race (Performance)2018-06-01T16:47:18-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1157230/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1157230/"><img alt="2018 Equity and Diversity Conference: What We Talk About When We Talk About Race (Performance)" title="2018 Equity and Diversity Conference: What We Talk About When We Talk About Race (Performance)" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1157230/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>Video recording of the performance, What We Talk About When We Talk About Race.
