Identification of search terms and comparison of search results with subject terms used in describing ETDs provides a basis for assessing the relative usefulness of controlled-vocabulary subject terms supplied by professional indexers and free-text keywords supplied by authors of ETDs in facilitating access to ETDs. Arguably, there has been a shift in the way users search, access, and use information resources.</p>Surface Integrity Achieved by Finishing Processes on Sverker 21 and Vanadis 6 Cold Working Tool Steels2020-08-03T15:07:04-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705416/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705416/"><img alt="Surface Integrity Achieved by Finishing Processes on Sverker 21 and Vanadis 6 Cold Working Tool Steels" title="Surface Integrity Achieved by Finishing Processes on Sverker 21 and Vanadis 6 Cold Working Tool Steels" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1705416/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>Article discusses the effects of various processes on the surface integrity of Sverker 21 and Vanadis 6 steel surfaces.</p>Electrochemical Synthesis of Rare Earth Ceramic Oxide Coatings2017-07-31T20:25:29-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc987469/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc987469/"><img alt="Electrochemical Synthesis of Rare Earth Ceramic Oxide Coatings" title="Electrochemical Synthesis of Rare Earth Ceramic Oxide Coatings" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc987469/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This book chapter discusses the electrochemical synthesis of lanthanum, cerium, and praseodymium oxides.</p>Activation of apoptosis in NAF-1-deficient human epithelial breast cancer cells2016-08-31T10:05:56-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc862674/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc862674/"><img alt="Activation of apoptosis in NAF-1-deficient human epithelial breast cancer cells" title="Activation of apoptosis in NAF-1-deficient human epithelial breast cancer cells" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc862674/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This article shows that small hairpin RNA-mediated suppresion of NAF-1 results in the activation of apoptosis in epithelial breast cancer cells and xenograft tumors.</p>Negative ion photoelectron spectroscopy confirms the prediction that D₃ₕ carbon trioxide (CO₃) has a singlet ground state2016-10-06T22:24:21-05:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc910335/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc910335/"><img alt="Negative ion photoelectron spectroscopy confirms the prediction that D₃ₕ carbon trioxide (CO₃) has a singlet ground state" title="Negative ion photoelectron spectroscopy confirms the prediction that D₃ₕ carbon trioxide (CO₃) has a singlet ground state" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc910335/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>This article reports the NIPE spectrum of CO₃ and assign the peaks in it with the help of DFT and ab initio calculations.</p>Libraries: Rethinking Roles, Rethinking Spaces2016-02-11T07:11:48-06:00https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc801982/<p><a href="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc801982/"><img alt="Libraries: Rethinking Roles, Rethinking Spaces" title="Libraries: Rethinking Roles, Rethinking Spaces" src="https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc801982/thumbnail/"/></a></p><p>Presentation for 2015 Higher Education Technology Forum put on by the North Texas Community College Consortium.
