In this presentation, Dr. Schmidt issues a call to action that will equip listeners to take immediate action against the recent rise of white nationalism and against the long-standing legacy of white supremacy.

This article explores the use of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to identify attitudes, social norms, and behavioral control in 92 young adults toward two intentional behaviors related to safe listening habits while listening to their personal listening devices: (1) lowering the intensity of loud music, and (2) shortening the listening duration of loud music. Linear regression findings indicated that the overall TPB models were significant. Positive attitudes toward turning the music down and shortening the durations were significantly associated with intentions to engage in non-risky behavior, more so for the former behavior.

Examines the novel optical properties of a graded photonic super-crystal (GPSC) with a large size of unit cell.

This article is a study of graphene as an electrically tunable material for switchable devices. Graphene is obtained from graphene oxide during the atomic layer deposition of Al2O3, as confirmed by Raman spectrum.

The article describes cosmic expansion as correlated with the standpoints of local observers’ co-moving horizons. In keeping with relational quantum mechanics, which claims that quantum systems are only meaningful in the context of measurements, the authors suggest that information gets ergodically “diluted” in our isotropic and homogeneous expanding Universe, so that an observer detects just a limited amount of the total cosmic bits.

This article is a study evaluating the predictive capabilities of various ab initio methods in the calculation of Gibbs free energies of reaction for [Ln(NO₃)]²⁺ compounds (with Ln = La to Lu), as nitrates are critical in traditional separation processes utilizing nitric acid. The composite methodologies evaluated predict Gibbs free energies of reaction for [Ln(NO₃)]²⁺ compounds within 5 kcal mol⁻¹ in most cases from the target method [CCSD(T)-FSII/cc-pwCV∞Z-DK3+SO] at a fraction of the computational cost.
