Anthrax or Charbon
"Anthrax or charbon, is an acute infectious disease affecting animals and occasionally man. Cattle and sheep are most susceptible, and none of the domestic animals are exempt.... The most effective method of dealing with anthrax is by prevention. The preventive measures recommended are (1) protecting individual animals by vaccination and (2) burning or deeply burying the carcasses of animals that have died of the disease, so as to avoid infecting the ground.
