Written in ink at the top of the cover is the name Mrs. Sims McCutchan. The sixteen pages within the cover are typewritten and list the club's officers, members, and dates and subjects of the year's meetings.

Color tinted halftone postcard of the Texas & Pacific Railway Hospital, in Marshall, Texas. The image was probably taken not long after the building was opened in 1928, but this card was probably printed in the 1930s, based on the linen style paper. It was sent through the mails and postmarked on April 24, 1940. The view shows a drive in the foreground curving in front of the building. The building is a long horizontal two-story structure with a slightly projecting entrance section. Three automobiles are parked on the drive. Printed in the white border above the image is the title, "T. & P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas," and printed below the image is the code "2461-29." Printed between the message and address sections: "C. T. American Art, Reg. U. S. Pat. Off. Made only by Curt Teich Co., Inc., Chicago." The card is addressed to Mrs. Violet Swain in Austin, Texas.

Black and white photo-postcard of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 414 N. Washington Ave., in Marshall, Texas, taken sometime in the 1940s. The building was constructed in 1932. The view is taken from the southwest and shows the facade and the south side of the building. The two-story brick building with raised basement has two entrances on either side of a central section with a front facing gable roof. Stairs lead to each entry on the main level. The central portion has stained-glass windows on first and second floor levels. An automobile is parked in front of the building. Bushes have been planted on either side of the entrance stairs and along the south side of the building. At the bottom of the image in white letters is the title, "Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Marshall, Texas." The Marshall Church of Christ now uses the building. There is a postmark dated Sep 23, 1942 on the back. The card, signed by Nell King, was addressed to Bobby Nelson, Omaha, Nebraska.

Booklet includes many statistics and halftone photographic images of Marshall, Texas, in the 1940s. An aerial view of the city is included near the beginning of the booklet. Contents include lists, descriptions, and illustrations of manufacturing, industrial, and commercial companies and facilities, as well as schools, churches, and homes. Agricultural activities and opportunities in Harrison County are also included, as well as recreational assets, particularly Caddo Lake State Park. A drawing of the airport building, under construction at the time, is also included.

Geren. The view shows the facade and left side of the building. It is a three-story brick and concrete building. Printed on the top of the image in black is the title, "Marshall High School, Marshall, Texas." The code number a5,755-N is printed on the lower right corner of the image. Printed on the back of the card on the left edge of the message section: "Published by Marshall Peanut Candy Co., Marshall, Texas." Printed between the message and address sections: "'Colourpicture' Publication. Cambridge, Mass., U.S.A." The postmark on the back of the card is dated Oct 17, 1947. The message is addressed to Mr. W. V. Hornsby, Fort Worth, Texas.

Photograph of the Marshall, Texas post office building taken by the Cowdin Brothers construction company of Dallas as part of their work on the building in 1940. Built in 1912, the post office received an addition and improvements in 1940. As noted in the Marshall News Messenger of 21 January, 1940, the work included enlargement of the lobby space, addition of new mail boxes, and enlarged work space. The building permit for the project was $71,000. Cars are parked in front of the building, a metal trash bin with triangular top is on the sidewalk, Army recruiting signs are standing on the corner of the lawn, and two piles of construction dirt are at the side of the building. A man is standing on the sidewalk and appears to be blind, holding a white cane, wearing a sign around his neck, and holding a tin cup in front of him. Typed on the back of the photograph: "Marshall Texas Post Office, February 26, 1940. This view from the center of intersection of So. Washington St. and the South side of the Square looking Southeast was taken same day progress report was made. Contractor: Cowdin Bros., Dallas, Texas. Rob't. E. Sellers, …

It has three stories and a basement. This building replaced an earlier city hall that burned. Automobiles are parked beside and in front of the building. Printed on the left side of the back is "Published by Marshall Peanut Candy Co., Marshall, Texas" and printed between the message and address sections is: "A 'Colourpicture' Publication, Cambridge, Mass. U. S. A." Handwritten in ink in the message space is the date April 23, 1946. There is no message or postmark on the card.

Photograph of a young girl presenting a scrapbook to Mrs. Sims McCutchan, Jr. (Miss Johnnie). The picture ran in the Marshall News Messenger on 1/23/49 accompanying an article about the presentation of the scrapbook, which contained drawings and poems by South Marshall School 5th & 6th graders before Mrs. McCutchan left to teach at Sam Houston School. Mary Ann Simmons made the presentation and Harold Collier looked on. The photograph was taken in the Girl Scout room at the city park, identified in the article as the Maverick Corral, where the students had been housed during the fall 1948 semester.Mrs. McCutchan wrote notes on the back explaining the context. Attached on the back is a form used by the newspaper for processing the photo.

Photograph taken in a classroom of Sam Houston elementary school in Marshall, Texas showing students, some sitting at desks and others standing in back with their music teacher, Mrs. Sims McCutchan, Jr. in the very back. The walls are of painted horizontal boards, with three multipaned windows with curtains and above those windows, just under the ceiling, three smaller, horizontal windows. A blackboard with Christmas greetings and decorations is on the other visible wall. The desks are old desks with cast iron frames with desk on one side and folding bench on the other. Between two of the windows, examples of students' art work are mounted, and "Girl Scout Laws" hang between the other windows. An empty desk in the front right of the photo shows the book shelf under the desk surface and what appears to be a book bag hanging from the corner of the iron frame. An unidentified male, possibly another teacher, is seated in front of Mrs. McCutchan. On the back of the photograph Mrs. McCutchan wrote: "1949, I was transferred to Sam Houston School to teach only music classes in grades 8 classes of music from 3rd through 7th grades."

The building housed both the chapel and the music department. The two-story brick building with raised basement has stained glass windows and steps leading up to the main entrance doors. Tree branches frame the view of the building. An automobile is parked under a tree at the bottom right of the image. At the bottom of the image in white letters is the title, "Scarborough Chapel - East Texas Baptist College - Marshall, Texas. 6-J-20" There is no postmark or message on the back of the card. The format, quality, and number code are almost identical to another card in this collection with the publisher's name W. M. Cline Co., Chattanooga, printed on it, and this card was probably produced by the same company.
