Scarborough Chapel, East Texas Baptist College, Marshall, Texas

Black and white photo-postcard of the Scarborough Chapel, East Texas Baptist College, in Marshall, Texas, taken in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The chapel opened in 1948. The building housed both the chapel and the music department. The two-story brick building with raised basement has stained glass windows and steps leading up to the main entrance doors. Tree branches frame the view of the building. An automobile is parked under a tree at the bottom right of the image. At the bottom of the image in white letters is the title, "Scarborough Chapel - East Texas Baptist College - Marshall, Texas. 6-J-20" There is no postmark or message on the back of the card. The format, quality, and number code are almost identical to another card in this collection with the publisher's name W. M. Cline Co., Chattanooga, printed on it, and this card was probably produced by the same company.
