The view shows the facade and east side of the eight story building and parts of the smaller buildings on either side of it. There is a sidewalk canopy across the facade with 2nd floor balcony on top of it, smaller three-bay balconies at the third and seventh floors and what appears to be a terrace surrounding the eighth floor. There are people standing on the sidewalk in front of the building and one automobile parked on the street. Printed in black ink above the image: "Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas." Printed in the lower right corner below the image: "2751-29-N" There is no postmark on the back of the card, but there is a handwritten message: "Our room is on the third floor. Please save this card for my album - Jean." Printed between the message and address sections: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. American Art' post card (Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.}"
