Klopfenstein advises that in view of the information furnished to them in the letter from Ross that Subject 95040 has been recommended for parole violation. He advises that they may close their file but requests advisement if knowledge is secured of the "whereabouts" of the parolee.

Klopfenstein, Chief, Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, from Jack Ross, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact (by Maizie Toungate, Supervisor, Parole Division), Board of Pardons and Paroles, Texas dated August 1, 1955. Toungate references a letter from Klopfenstein in which a report on Subject OP 95040 was requested. She advises that Subject has reported each month, the reports have been forwarded to their office and that the conduct and attitude of Subject is satisfactory.

Jenkens expresses his appreciation to Carswell for a present "and above all, the Christian love and friendship in your great big heart that prompted you to do it". The reverse side includes notes handwritten by Carswell indicating that on December 14, 1955 he answered the correspondence from Subject No. 108,345 on October 8, 1955. He talked to Mr. Turner while in Austin on December 2, 1955 noting that Turner would look into the file and give any conclusion to the Board.
