Attachments include: Handwritten note from Jim [J. M. Caldwell to T. N. Carswell] requesting cooperation and support.

A letter written to Mr. Carswell from Elia J. Hobbs, Garland, N. C., February 24, 1954. Hobbs explains who C. W. Presswood is, what he has asked and advises that she has included a "copy" of part of the letter from C. W. Presswood. Presswood requests to lease her place for five years describing the work needed to "get it fixed up where you could use it for some good" then states that he would like to buy the place. Hobbs resumes her correspondence to Carswell explaining what she thinks about the proposition.

A letter written to Mr. Carswell from Lucie K. Whitehead (Mrs. L. C. W.), Raleigh, N. C., dated March 29, 1951. She advises of an enclosed check for the tax services that Carswell rendered.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Voluntary Parole Board, from the North Carolina Board of Paroles, Raleigh, North Carolina (M. R. Peterson, Investigator), dated May 27, 1957. Referring to Subject N. C. Prison 60841-2, Peterson advises Carswell that the case will not be considered again until December 8, 1957.

A letter addressed to the Board of Paroles, Raleigh, North Carolina, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Voluntary Parole Board, dated May 23, 1957. Carswell explains his interest in Subject 60841-2, a prospective parolee, as resulting from a conversation with Subject's mother and information from other sources regarding the family. He advises that he will accept the supervision if the Board allows the subject to transfer to Texas. Notes include addresses for North Carolina Board of Parole. A letter written to C. M. Johnson, Lt. Col., Camp Sutton, North Carolina from T. N. Carswell, dated July 15, 1942. Carswell advises Johnson that he had learned that some men were still needed in his regiment. He asks Johnson if the need is of such a nature that he could meet it and then lists his qualifications.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from W. F. Williams, Littleton, N. C., dated January 29, 1946. Williams addresses the alcohol issue and commends Carswell's article "Beverage Alcohol Stands Condemned", published in the February issue of The Baptist Teacher, as the best on that subject which has appeared in that publication for years. Williams writes in a postscript that the enclosure is for Carswell's information.

A letter written to Uncle Norwood [T. N. Carswell] from "Bob" [William Robert Howell], Davidson College, Davidson, North Carolina. Howell expresses his appreciation to Carswell for the gift copy of "Our Country." Notation is made that this letter was answered by Carswell on May 16, 1972.

Minutes of hte Tar River Baptist Association, pages seventeen and eighteen. The minutes include a poem by R. R. Campbell; Earle L. Bradley presented an address on "Our Responsibilities as Christians in the Victory Period"; W. F. Williams presented a resolution on resuming temperance lessons in Sunday School. The resolution was adopted after discussion by the author and A. Paul Bagley. The reverse side (page eighteen) features an article titled "North Carolina 115th Annual Session Held with Warrenton Baptist Church Thursday October 17th, 1945."
