A postcard addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Tex and postmarked, FT. W & El Paso ED R.P.O.TR 7, Aug 25, 1954. The reverse side includes a form letter addressed to Tommy [T. N. Carswell] from Jet Peters dated August 25, 1954. Campaign card printed for Paul Brashear for State Representative with personal handwritten note advising how as a Shivers Democrat Peters helped carry Cisco for Ike saving their Tide Lands to clean up the mess in Washington, and he congratulates Carswell saying that his article in yesterday's Star Telegram "hit the spot". Peters also asks about Abilene: "How's the West Texas Chamber of Commerce? I hear its sick financially—Do get a big kick out of your Abilene's growth. I first knew the town in 1900."
