An ornamental pin of bachelor buttons was sprinkled wiht glitter. Hat with rolled brim was decorated with flowers, to represent a feathered plume, and purse, gloves and shoes were of crused ebony leaves. Narrow belt of clipped boungainvillea matched the blouse and earrings were fashioned of the silvery, reverse side of cenizo leaves.

Her jewelry was fashioned from peeled grapefruit seeds, Club members worked 296 hours on the dress as each tiny membrane was sectioned, washed, wiped, and dried individually.
