A compilation of three works, the cover of a play adaptation of Spyri's Heidi written by Ethel Hale Freeman, an image of the title page of a copy of Heidi published by Ginn and Company, and a final copy of Heidi showcasing an illustration in the book. The first image, the play, is of a photocopy the cover of the playbook attached to the cover of a bound hardback book. Story-Teller's House edition of Heidi by Johanna Spyri, adapted by Edith Heal, illustrated by Richard S. Rodgers, and published by Thomas S. Rockwell Company. The dust jacket of the book is light blue with dark blue and red details and is slightly damaged with some pieces of the paper jacket missing. On the cover is an illustration of Heidi with a boy standing in a field with some goats and trees. In Heidi's arms is a bundle of flowers. On the cover page are the names of the author, adaptor, and illustrator as well as the title and the publishing company. Image of a frame with pressed edelweiss. The frame is an oval shape painted royal blue with gold gilded flourishes and outer rim. On the inner rim of the frame are raised gilded dots. Inside the frame are three pressed edelweiss flowers which have stems that have been discolored with time. At the top is a label for ownership. Mrs. N. H. Dole is likely Helen B. Dole who was one of the translators of the novel "Heidi" by Johanna Spyri from German to English. On the paper backing is illegible, faded text.

Early German edition of the first part of Heidi, called Heidi: Her Years of Wandering and learning by Johanna Spyri. The entire cover of the book is a faded red-orange color.
