The village headman
A description of the village headman's duties and how a headman is selected. A headman must be in their 30s, married, educated, and well-behaved. Women cannot be headmen. The whole village has to agree when a new headman is chosen. Headmen do not get paid, but can receive portions of meat from hunters (except bears and goat-antelopes).
