Photograph of the Lavinia Parker McDaniel and George W. McDaniel brick home at 774 Butternut, Abilene, Texas. The house is a brick two-story building, with a raised covered porch extending from the main structure with steps. The upper floor windows are lined with shutters. A pile of dirt is at center, next to bare trees and shrubs. A man in a top hat holds a baby at center, to the left of the covered porch. The McDaniel house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
