The footage shows Martin performing on piano with a small jazz ensemble. He plays with various soloists including trumpet and saxophone.

The performance was held on April 26th, 2013 at the Clarence Muse Café Theatre. The footage shows Smith giving an inspiring performance highlighting the American abolitionist Frederick Douglass.
