Part of the booklet appears to be from a letter, and an the author and publisher of the booklet are unknown, although the author claims to be the child of Captain Jack McCulloch of the Texas Rangers. He or she also refers to Benjamin McCulloch, a Texas Ranger and later Confederate war general killed at Pea Ridge, Arkansas, as Uncle Ben.

Letter from Noel Grisham to Mrs. Katherine Turner Carter describing the Stage Coach Stop, which was built in Round Rock, Texas, in 1848 and a popular stopping point for passengers until the railroad was built nearby in 1876. A picture is mentioned but is no longer enclosed.
