Many of the men are wearing hats. Some of the women, who wear white blouses, are holding small children. The men sitting on the ground in front are mostly wearing small caps and are holding different instruments, such as trumpets, drums, and horns, etc. A tall metal frame is visible just to the right of the group. On the back of the photograph are handwritten notes about when the photo was taken (at the Phillip Reunion in 1902), and a stamp identifying the donor of the photo.
