This photograph shows Fort Davis after snow has fallen. There are several long structures to the right which are the Quartermaster's building and store house. In the middle of the photograph, there is a large open field. In the foreground, there are rocks and the ruins of a small adobe building. Around the left edge of the field, there are trees and the Officer's Barracks. At the far end of the barracks are several two-story buildings including the Post Chapel and Post Headquarters. In the background there are several mountains.

This photograph is of a group of cavalrymen out on drill. There are many soldiers, ranged on the slope of a mountain and wearing dark uniforms and hats. Several of the men are standing with horses in the back or to the side. Two of the men have pins on their collars, showing that they are marksmen. Behind the men, there are rocks and desert plants.

They are too far away to make out much detail, but several of the people seem to be holding up dark-colored umbrellas. The foreground shows that the area is a large open field covered in short grass and brush. In the background, there are trees, white tents, and various other items as well as mountains behind them. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph reads, "All campers on the ground, about 1900."

This photograph is a picture of a young woman (Sarah Janes) wearing a white dress holidng a small, dark burro colt in her arms. In the background, there appears to be an unpaved road and several buildings, at least one of which is the Janes' house. On the back of the photograph, there is a typed note that says "Lady and burro colt" and also a handwritten note that says, "The lady's baby burro Taking care of their stock." Additionally there is a stamp that with the name "Barry Scobee" and "Fort Davis, Texas."

This photograph shows many people standing near a group of covered wagons parked in the right of the photograph. In the front, there are several men, some wearing suits and others loose clothing and cowboy hats; some of the men are wearing aprons. There is a hose leading from the back of the wagon in the front of the photograph. To the right, one of the wagons has a wooden platform extended like a table and one man seems to be eating off of it and there is a barrel in the middle of the photograph. In the background, there are more people, many under a large tree at the left. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says, "About 1905-10. Chuck boxes. Water was brought for drinking and cooking from a near-by ranch. Siphoned out from barrels in wagon. One of the cooks eating a rib."

At least two other men are standing behind the others, near the group of 5 or 6 horses which all appear to be saddled. All of the men are wearing hats. To the right of the photo there is some sort of wagon or buggy behind the seated men; it is at least partially enclosed and has large wheels and a board attached to the back. The ground appears to be covered with short scrub.

B.); a man in a white shirt and bow-tie wearing dark glasses; a second woman in a white dress next to a younger woman wearing a darker-colored dress and bonnet and behind them there is a man wearing a white shirt and tie; a woman in a white dress with a dark pin at the collar holding the hand of a very young boy, also in white, and standing next to a slightly older boy in white with a square collar; a man (directly behind the boys) who appears to be wearing a uniform; two women in white dresses; another man in uniform; and an older man (W. W. Bogel) with a moustache who has something tucked into the waist …

In the background to the right, the area where they are standing is covered in grass and brush with trees and mountains in the distance. At the bottom of the photograph, the names W. W. Bogel and Eda Jenkins Hubbard are handwritten in ink. (The name "Bert [...] Hubbard" was written and then scratched out.) A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says, "Bloys Camp Meeting circa 1913-1916."

In this photograph, there are about 10 buildings that appear to be identical, all in a line. A handwritten note on the front says "Officers Line" which suggests that the buildings are the houses of the officers and their families. Each house has a dark roof and five white pillars that form the rim of the porch. There are trees interspersed among the houses. In front of the buildings, there is a large area that is fenced in and contains several animals. Behind the houses, there is a rocky ridge covered in desert scrub and plants. This postcard was sent to "Mr. Frank Russell" in Marfa, Texas and the postmark is from Casa Piedra, Texas sent August 27, 1915. The text, handwritten in ink, reads: "Dear Frank:- This card re-calls memories of much a _happy_ day and each moon-light night that we have been riding & have wished that you were with us. Don't work too hard but come out here if you can. Lovingly, Mabel."

In this photograph, there are two trees with at least three dead dear hanging upside-down from the branches. Two of the deer have been split open and an older man in the center of the photograph is cutting the third. Another man, dressed casually, is watching him work. To the far right, there is a covered buggy or wagon that is unhitched and parked. Behind the men, there is a white spotted dog lying on the ground and a white building, presumably a house. In the background there appear to be mountains. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says "Geo Gleim & Nick Mansfelder hunting on Joe Espy Ranch north of Ft. Davis, Texas."

The photograph on this postcard shows the town of Fort Davis. In the foreground, there is a formation of large rocks and an unpaved road that continues into the middle of the town. To either side of the road, there are various buildings enclosed by fences and surrounded by yards, trees, and windmills. The postcard was sent from Fort Davis March 15 and arrived in Uvalde, Texas March 17, 1918 according to the postmarks. The text, handwritten in ink, reads: "Wednesday. Well Janet how are you today? This picture was taken from some big high rocks in front of my uncle's house. There are hardly any lumber houses here - nearly all dirt or stone. Some are made of pretty pink rocks. They get the different kinds of rock from the mountains in the town or near town. Hope I'll see you again sometime. Miss Ada." The postcard was addressed to Miss Janet Harris.
