Later she discusses the new lace cloth being made and saying that cloth at home runs "from 10 cents to 25 cents per yard."

Letter from C. K. Griggs to his son, Captain in the 49th Armored Infantry Battalion, Charles R. Griggs. Among the other things discussed, Mr. Griggs mentions the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt that had happened that evening, and the assumption of the new president Harry Truman.

They also tell Charles that they do not worry about him as they "had the assurance of God [that he] would take care of you."

The letter mostly talks about the death of their grandfather who died suddenly, Mr. Griggs had been away in Big Spring as it happened. The rest of the letter talks about the grandfather's dislike for smoking and drinking; finally Mrs. Griggs says that they pray for her son's safety as well as the rest of the boys.

Mrs. Griggs also would like her china from France but "it was bought when sets of six were made, now I need eight."

She mentions the marriage between Otto Carter and Lillian Pratt, as well as her and Mr. C. K. Griggs' attempts at getting the yard in better shape.

Speech given by Judge Terry Julian to the men of Company E of the 36th Division at their reunion on May 17, 1986 in Sweetwater, Texas. The speech mostly discusses the history of the company, when it was organized, where it was moved to, where the men came from, and the casualties they suffered during World War II.

Envelope sent from Mose Newman and addressed to W. J. Myres, president of S. D. Myres Saddle Company, in El Paso. The envelope has three stamps and has various word printed on it such as "DO NOT BEND" and "HAND STAMP ONLY." There are also some handwritten notes on both sides of the envelope.

Postcard with a close-up photograph of an S. D. Myres Saddle Company saddle below the text "$10000 saddle made for the '101 Ranch' by S. D. Myres, Sweetwater, Texas." The saddle is elaborately engraved with a floral pattern, cattle, butterflies, and other decorative embellishments.

It includes the lyrics of God Bless America and information about The Sweetwater, Texas, March, information about the event, and a description of the $10,000 saddle made by Myres in 1913 and pictured on the front of the pamphlet.

Membership card for Sweetwater Chapter Number 236 of the Royal Arch Masons (R.A.M.) with the text: "This Certifies Companion __S. D. Myres__ Has paid dues to __June 24, 1953__ $1 of your annual dues goes to the maintenance of the Home for Aged Masons, Arlington, Texas." The seal of the masonic group is printed on the card behind the text, inside a raised stamp for the local chapter. The back of the card has text from the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas, with the group's seal.

The center of the card has a triangular logo for the group inside a stamped circle with the chapter's name.
