There is a typed caption under the photograph that says "Mrs. W. W. Bogel" as well as a handwritten note on the back that says, "Mrs. W. W. Bogel c. 1913." Additionally, there is a handwritten note accompanying the photograph that reads, "Mrs. William Woodworth (Sarah Newton) Bogel a real Marfa and Presidio County pioneer. She came to Marfa with her husband and daughter, Jessie - age 2 - in 1884. Photo made in 1913" signed "W. B. Hubbard."

To the far right, there is a covered buggy or wagon that is unhitched and parked. Behind the men, there is a white spotted dog lying on the ground and a white building, presumably a house. In the background there appear to be mountains. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph says "Geo Gleim & Nick Mansfelder hunting on Joe Espy Ranch north of Ft. Davis, Texas."

"This picture of Antonio G. Cano was taken in Grand Falls, Texas on December 12, 1914. Her husband, Martin, was a loyal follower of Pancho Villa. They later moved to Grand Falls in 1925." This statement was made by Alma Cano and was included in a research paper by Delfina Heredin for a history class at Marfa High School in 1975.
