Along the edge of the fence there are trees and what appears to be an irrigation ditch separating those fields from another field and the orchards. On the right of the photograph, there are several buildings, partially obscured by trees. To the left, there appears to be a slope coveered in desert trees and scrub and there are mountains in the background.

The angle is leaning on a gravestone with the text "Mrs. Lizzie Crosson, Born Aug. 25, 1844. Died Nov, 17, 1924. Age 80 years 2 mos. 22 D."; the text of the poem is written on a lower part of the stone with "In Loving Remembrance" at the very bottom.
