Betts advises that the American Legion Rehabilitation Program Committee met with the Department Rehabilitation Committee and selected Allcorn as 17th District Rehabilitation Officer and then explains the goals regarding a rehabilitation program. He advises of the Department Commander appointment of Mr. Henri Warren as Chairman of the Department Rehabilitation Committee. Members of the Department Rehabilitation Program Committee: George C. Letter from W. S. Birge to Perry Sayles stating three oil wells were drilled on the B. I. Terry tract in Comanche County. Two of them produced oil and one produced gas, but neither produced enough resources to be profitable.

Letter from L. H. Blanton to William John Bryan regrettably declining his invitation to Texas and reporting that the Treasury Department, Office of the Supervising Architect has purchased land in Abilene.

A letter written to Mrs. Clara Belle Marchbanks, ("Miss Spencer"), De Leon, Texas from T. N. Carswell dated July 28, 1941. Carswell advises Marchbanks that he is passing her letter on to Dr. White, himself not being familiar with the details of the need regarding teachers.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Mrs. C. B. Marchbanks, De Leon, Texas, dated September 16, 1941. Marchbanks advises that her daughter Marilyn won the Literary Scholarship given by Dr. White to attend Hardin-Simmons University and, therefore, is requesting that Carswell recommend her for employment to the Commanding Officer at Camp Barkeley noting that his being on the draft board should help.

Newspaper clipping providing notice that Mrs. Bobbie Terry, guardian of the estate of Norma Terry, Leone Terry, Shuler Terry, Eunice Terry, and Lee Edwin Terry, is seeking the court's permission to lease the oil and gas interests of her minor wards to L. G. Tinsley. There are some notes written on the clipping reading, "52 acre tract," 52/ 26000 (500 [..]) 260/ 00," and "R. [..] R[..]"

Letter from Sydney C. Reagan to Ben D. Sudderth; He encloses material to be included in the Bill he submitted to Mr. Latimer. The material takes care of the omission he made in the Bill: the counties to be included in each district.
