[Marshall Candy Kitchen & Ice Cream Parlor Display Window]

Photograph of elaborate decorative display window of the Marshall Candy Kitchen & Ice Cream Parlor. At the base of the window approximately 50 small bottles of Welch's grape juice are arranged with three dolls behind and larger bottles of Welch's juice. More smaller bottles are on a glass shelf behind and above with decorative paper figures of children drinking juice and an arrangement of artificial grapes and grape leaves. The name Marshall Candy Kitchen & Ice Cream Parlor is painted on the glass of the display window. Impressed in the bottom of the mount board is the photographer's name: Cockrell Studio, Marshall, Texas. Two yellow paper notes have been stuck on the back by the seller confirming the subject and one of which gives the estimated date of ca. 1910. The Marshall Candy Kitchen is listed in the 1912 Marshall city directory.
