Henderson's Garage, Marshall, Texas

Black and white halftone postcard showing Henderson's Garage in Marshall, Texas, located on the south side of the square, west of the city hall. The service bays were inserted into an older one-story brick masonry building. The two open bays have a sign above them saying "Auto Repair Shop" and a smaller sign between them saying "Gasoline 10 cents." The third bay is closed with a bench in front of it, and the fourth bay has the sign "Accessories" above it. Above all four bays a projecting corrugated iron canopy has "Ford" painted in large letters on it. "Henderson's Garage" is painted on the brick wall above the canopy and a separate commercial sign saying "Henderson's Garage" is mounted on top of the brick facade wall. Printed at the top of the image in red ink is the title "Henderson's Garage, Marshall, Texas." Printed on the left edge of the back: "39288 - Frey Wholesale Post Card Co., Pubs., Dallas." T. and P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas

Color tinted halftone postcard of the Texas & Pacific Railway Hospital, in Marshall, Texas, from around 1916. The view shows a grassy area in the foreground with a curving path and two trees. A man stands at the foot of one of the trees. The hospital appears to be a grouping of small residential-scale buildings with wood siding. The largest, on the left side of the card consists of two stories with a hipped roof and a cross gable roof extending on one side. A one story porch extends across the facade and part of one side. Color tinted halftone postcard of the Texas & Pacific Railway Hospital, in Marshall, Texas. The image was probably taken not long after the building was opened in 1928, but this card was probably printed in the 1930s, based on the linen style paper. It was sent through the mails and postmarked on April 24, 1940. The view shows a drive in the foreground curving in front of the building. The building is a long horizontal two-story structure with a slightly projecting entrance section. Three automobiles are parked on the drive. Printed in the white border above the image is the title, "T. & P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas," and printed below the image is the code "2461-29." Printed between the message and address sections: "C. Color tinted halftone postcard of ca. 1907-1915 showing the Hotel Marshall, Marshall, Texas. It is a straight facade view with parts of the neighboring buildings visible. The hotel's three-story building has a sidewalk canopy across the full facade with multipaned clerestory windows above the canopy. A fire escape on the second bay from the right leads from the third story to the canopy and has a ladder from the third story to the roof. Two boys stand leaning on either side of a five-globe street light on the sidewalk in front of the building. A horse and buggy stand on the street to their right, and two men with straw hats sit next to the right side of the building. The horse is hitched to a ring in the sidewalk. Interior Trinity Episcopal Church, Marshall, Texas

Color halftone postcard of the interior of Trinity Episcopal Church, Marshall, Texas, located at the northeast corner of N. Grove St. and W. Houston St., probably photographed in the 1920s.
