Letter from T. M. M. Campbell to E. P. Ripley discussing men who complained to him about the railroad. Ripley uses eminent domain to take the railroad from Texas to states on the Pacific coast. Campbell states he will intervene if necessary and will not allow this to happen. Ripley's policy is considered intolerable. Campbell also mentions enacting laws that disallow railroad companies from using the policy of eminent domain to clear the way for their railway. Campbell offers to meet Ripley in Texas to discuss the matter.

Letter from Darall G. Hawk to Sayles & Sayles asking for an estimated time needed to examine the statements for the Floyd C. Dodson title as it is part of Hawk's job to approve statements from outside attorneys. He also asks that the charge be justified.

Letter from Paul Jones to Perry Sayles discussing a check Mr. Sayles wrote to The Farmers and Merchants National Bank of Abilene, Texas. Mr. Sayles wrote a check for $15 towards a note owed to the bank of the amount of $48.50. Mr. Jones split the check as $13.50 on the principle and $1.50 as interest on the note balance for 90 days.
