Photograph of the Denton County Confederate Soldier Monument. The monument consists of a small, standalone archway with a confederate soldier statue on its top, a small sphere sitting on either side of the statue. Words around the archway's inner curve read "Our confederate soldiers". Above these words. under the top edge of the archway, is a motif of the letters "C", "S", and "A" as one icon. Rectangular piers support the archway's top section, each with words engraved on them. On each of the piers, near the ground, are singular cone-shaped attachments that both have "1861" engraved on them. Beyond the archway, the walkway it sits on extends into the distance a short way before splitting into three paths that all lead up to the Denton County Courthouse. Large green trees occupy grass growing around the paths. The courthouse itself is a large multi-floor building with rows of rectangular windows, stone bricks walls, and vaulted domes at each of its corners and atop the clocktower on its roof.
