Postcard of Beaumont City Hall on Main Street between Gilbert and College streets. Two men can be seen standing on the right bottom of the picture. This building was built in 1909 to serve as a cooperative market by the City of Beaumont, but was used as a City Hall and Jail from about 1910 until 1926. Later in the 1920s it was used as a market and at one time went by the name of the Nancy Tevis Market. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "City Hall, Beaumont, Texas.--19." Printed on the back of the postcard is the following information regarding its creation: "E.C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee" and "27097N." The card is addressed to Mrs. C S Browne (?) 111 Long St, West Roxbury, Mass.

The depot is prominent on the left side of the postcard with a sign that reads "To San Francisco 562 7/10 M., B[ea]umont, [Elevation 2556 Feet, To New Orleans 1925 4/10 M" showing the mileage from Beaumont, California, to other prominent cities. There is also a sign on the right side of the building that reads, "...Express." In the far background are mountains. Written on the bottom of the postcard is "S.P. Depot Beaumont." It should be noted that Beaumont, California, and Beaumont, Texas, are sometimes mistaken for one another. Postcard of Antlers Hotel in Diboll, Texas. Looking through gates with "Antlers" on them, of the interior of the The Antlers' Coffee Shop at the The Antlers Hotel in Diboll, Texas. A fireplace can be seen in the center of the postcard. The hotel was open from 1939 until 1954 and owned by Southern Pine Lumber Company. It was designed by John Poindexter Cammack. At one time it was also known as "The Inn." On the front of the postcard is printed the following: "The Antlers--Largest Log Hotel in the South-Diboll, Texas" and "The Antlers Coffee Shop and Its Huge, Friendly Fireplace." On the back of the postcard is printed a road map from Texas towns and cities to Diboll and the following: "The Antlers--Largest Log Hotel in the South, 'Old as Yesterday--Modern as Today', Coffee Shop in Connection, Guest Rooms Strictly Modern." The George O'Brien Millard School was a public elementary school in Beaumont started about 1910 and sometimes known as just Millard School. George O'Brien Millard was a prominent Beaumont citizen who helped develop the public school system in Beaumont. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "Geo. B. Millard School, Beaumont, Texas." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "All O.K. Weather perfectly grand and things are lovely. I return to E.T June 12. Wouldn't you like to see me? Love to Aunt Lizzie & all. Hazel." Beaumont's Lover's Lane was located near the Neches River between the Hotel Dieu and city docks. A note with the postcard states that the house in the background is the Paul Millard home. The Millard home, also known as the O'Brien home, sat on the corner of Blanchette and Orleans Street and marked as an entrance to Lover's Lane. It was demolished in 1962.
