[Journal of Ann Rose, wife of a Jack Ruby trial juror]

Stenographic notebook used by Ann Rose to record her personal experiences while her husband, Waymon Rose, served on the jury during Jack Ruby's murder trial. Nine pages of the notebook's paper have been used, on the front only; a tenth page of similar size has been added. Almost all of the text is written in pencil. Jury selection for the Ruby trial began in early 1964. The trial ended on March 14, 1964 when Jack Ruby was found guilty of murder with malice. In addition to this journal, Ann Rose kept scrapbooks on the subject of President Kennedy's assassination and its aftermath for more than 30 years.

[Journal of J. Waymon Rose, juror during Jack Ruby's murder trial]

Mohawk theme book used as a journal by Ruby trial juror, J. Waymon Rose. A salesman for a Dallas furniture manufacturer, Rose was selected as the tenth juror in the 1964 trial of Jack Ruby for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. At his wife's suggestion, Mr. Rose kept a detailed journal of his experiences during the course of the trial, detailing the living conditions and limited activities of himself and his fellow jurors as well as his personal thoughts on Jack Ruby, his attorneys and the trial as a whole. The journal contains 50 handwritten pages within a spiral-bound notebook of 76 pages.

Handwritten notes of Jack Ruby trial juror Allen McCoy. These notes detail McCoy's experience being selected to serve on the jury but do not cover the trial itself. There are 18 pages of handwritten notes. The writing is on both the front and back of the pages and each page is numbered (1 - 36). Jury selection for the Ruby trial began in early 1964. McCoy's notes describe how he was summoned for jury duty in February and how he knew in his heart that he would be selected to serve on the jury for Jack Ruby's trial. McCoy ran out of paper before the trial began. The trial ended on March 14, 1964 when the jury found Jack Ruby guilty of murder with malice.

[Max Causey's journal of his experiences on the Ruby trial jury]

Spiral bound notebook containing a handwritten journal titled "Trial of a Juror" by Max Causey, who served as the foreman of the jury for the Jack Ruby trial. The notebook contains 54 pages. Jury selection for the Ruby trial began in early 1964. The trial itself started on March 4th and Max Causey was the first juror selected. Causey was elected foreman by his peers on March 14th as they began their deliberations. The trial ended on March 14, 1964 when the jury found Jack Ruby guilty of murder with malice.
