Mrs. W.C. Hanson represented the Chaturic Club of 1956. The princess line style street dress was a soft green made of 8 quarts of tepejuaje leaves. The bolero was green and white striped, using inside of 24 grapefruit. Her alligator bag and matching pumps were made with 16 eggplant while the pillbox and glvoes were of red poinsettia leaves.

The two piece English tweed suit made of purple bachelor buttons which were clipped to simulate tweed. Material cost was $10.45 and took 450 hours to complete.

Her boots were made of turnips and her hat was made of milkweed seed. Fluff and tassel were of pampas grass. Braid- date stems and cattail leaves. Baton was of cardboard and gold dust.

Mrs. Hamel is representing the Weslaco Women's Study Club. This lovely green gown was made of broccoli with two tones of color in the skirt. the evening gown was styled with a straight skirt front, sweeping into folds in back. The flower motif was a soft apricot color, made from the membranes of Ruby Red, Foster Pink and White grapefruit. These delicate pieces of grapefruit also were used for the ruffled yoke, fan and juliette cap. The hat was completed with tepejuaje leaves, the sandals were made of broccoli, and her simulated pearl necklace of radishes. Members of the club worked on the gown 400 hours. They used 270 bunches of broccoli, tow and a half quarts of glue, three branches of radishes, four chrysanthemums, six tepejuaje leaves and 110 grapefruit.
