The long strink of beads, twisted in an ornamental know, was made of pyracantha berries also. Her straw sandals were made of raffia used by vegetable shippers to tie bunched vegetables. Workers spent 325 hours in making the costume and $75.00 for materials.

Members of the Mother's club of the Stephen F. Austin School made it for the Rotary Club. White chrysanthemums were used in decorating the pankcake hat and for the hand muff. The same flower petals decorated the dress. A small amount of gold glitter was used to brighten the costume which required 394 hours to complete.
