Impact of the Policies of the National Government on the Organization of Business and Management Styles in India
The purpose of this investigation is to explore the policies of the government of British India and of the independent Republic of India relative to their impact on organizational structure, management practices and styles, and management education in business organizations in India. The British, who were responsible for the growth of some of the organized industries in India, also gave the country, among other things, a modern educational system. They left India, however, with a limited industrial base. There was a serious shortage of professional managers to meet the demands of growing industry. Upon independence, the national government through its policies encouraged the development of business and industries and brought awareness among business managers of the importance of management education.

Personnel Problems in Foremanship: Case Studies
The purpose of this study is to supply additional case material for analysis and study by the potential and beginning foreman. Since it would be impossible to cover all possible situations, only selected cases are presented. The selected cases illustrate problems in foreman-to-employee relationships, foreman-to-foreman and staff-groups relationships, and foreman-to-superior relationships. In the interest of clarity, each case was analyzed as to key points covered or contained, principles illustrated by the case, and recommendations derived from the analysis.

The problem of this study is to compare the retirement benefits under the federal Social Security System, as proposed in House Bill 6000, the retirement benefits under the Texas Teachers Retirement System, and the retirement annuities of private insurance companies. The purpose of this study is to gain answers an opinions from both companies offering stock ownership plans for their employees and from unions who participate or have members that participate in plans. In order to obtain answers from both companies and unions concerning plans, this study describes broadly the types of plans that are now in existence. An attempt was made to determine the most popular features of stock plans from both company and union viewpoint, and where possible, to gain recommendations leading to the formulation of more efficient and more popular plans.
