She asks what is happening to our beautiful America, land of the free, discussing the student unrest not only on the campuses at Lawrence, Kansas where Larry attends and at the University of Texas where Lyndell attends but all over the country pointing to the war and draft as a continual dread for students. She advises that Glyn is doing fairly well, the Jack Quades are all right and asks after Mrs. Carswell.
