Raincoat

(At left) Raincoat of black vinyl. The modified A-line coat is of short length, extending to just at or below the knee, and has long sleeves. Center-front opening is secured with 3 silver/chrome clip closures, one at the rounded neckline and two at waist. There is one patch pocket at the right hip. The coat is fully lined in synthetic with vertical stripes of pink, green, blue, violet, and red on a black ground. Size 10. Manufacturer's label inside at center back just below neckline: "La Flaque / de Paris". At right inside side-seam is a Union Label.

Day Dress

Shift day dress of oatmeal crochet knit wool. The mid-length dress is of a seed-stitch knit with Peter Pan collar and short sleeves. The collar, upper lapel edge and sleeves are finished with a single stitch crochet binding/edging. Double-breasted with ten self-covered circular buttons arranged in two vertical rows of five each. Dress opens along left vertical row with a single snap and a single small hidden button and loop to secure upper left of panel under collar. Unlined. Black band inside lower hem. Designer's label inside at back near collar: "Norman Norell / New York". Union label inside at hem, partly hidden by hem: 625687.

Cocktail dress of ivory four-ply silk and brown wool crepe. Torso and long sleeves are of ivory silk, and the 5" cuffs and 15" skirt panel are of brown wool crepe. Silk tie at neckline hangs down front and back. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes supplemented with snaps at neckline. Hat

Hat of light brown felt and net. Styled as a boater or "Pamela hat", the low, domed crown is of stiffened light brown net, overlaid with light brown felt circles of various sizes, and irregular band around the lower edge. At back is a bow, secured under a strap of the felt, made of lighter brown/beige satin tube ribbon. The brim is of the same felt, curling up at outer edge, banded at outer edge in the same satin tube ribbon. The hat is unlined, with inner light brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. Evening Dress

Evening dress of layered green chiffon. The full-length dress has an empire waistline, a high rounded jewel neckline, and long sleeves with zippered cuffs. The dress is composed of a top layer of chiffon with gold metallic thread embroidered dots/circles, the bodice and sleeves with further embellishment of scattered rosettes of gold beads and sequins, and single sequins. The waist is ornamented with bands of gold beads (spherical and wheat), and sequins spreading from waist upwards. The dress has an under-layer of heavy green silk crepe. from bust to hem.
