Life Magazine pages 28-29. 1961 Cars - Cobo Hall Ramp. This photo by Joe appears in a two page Life magazine spread. It coincided the with 1.) Opening of Cobo Hall and 2.) The Detroit North American Auto show opening and 3.) The unvieling of the new 1961 Automobiles. Joe had a 40 foot scaffold built on top of a nearby building to get the angle for this photo. Luckily the parking structure that this ramp lead to was not yet opened and these new cars could be driven into position, photographed and then driven back into Cobo Hall for exhibition.
