Ten children were injured Monday morning when a Putnam City elementary school bus was hit broadside by an oilfield truck at NW 50 and MacArthur. Warr Acres police chief, Nelson Beckett, said a ticket was issued against the school bus driver--James Fenno, driver of No. 7 of the Putman City bus fleet. Driver of the truck was Kenneth Richardson. The 10 youngsters, all of whom attend Putman City Central grade school, were examined at Baptist Hospital after the accident. Only one of them, Greg Houk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Houk, 6803 NW 60, was admitted, suffering a broken ankle. He was reported in good condition. "It was a wonder no one was killed. It (the bus) took quite a lick on the side," Chief Beckett said. Most of the injuries consisted of cuts and bruises, hospitals officials said.
