Newspaper clipping with two articles, found in a 1924 edition of Heidi. One article is an announcement of Mrs. Weaver's upcoming lecture for the librarians of the Dallas Public Schools; the other is an account of a meeting of the Garden Club held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Weaver. Seperated from volume, the newspaper clipping is shelved in Object Files, Rare Book and Texana Collections.

On the spine of the book is the title and author of the book along with a floral design embossed in gold. There is also a black stripe painted over the spine with white writing. The cover page of the book are beautiful block prints of berries, vines, and fairies. On the left page is a quotation from Shakespeare reading, "This is fairy gold, boy; and twill prove so". On the right side is the and author of the book, a quotation from the medieval play Everyman, "everyman, I will go with thee, and be thy guide, In thy most need to go by thy side." Also included are the names for the publishers for London and New York and another wood block print of a full bodied fairy standing in a garden. Of the pages inside the book include illustrations of Heidi hugging a goat, A boy in a hat, a landscape of the countryside, and three flowers.

The front cover on the book is a light warm blue color with five white and green flowers, one white bud, and eight dark green leaves connected to each other by vines making a crisscross pattern of green and across the cover. All of the illustrations are line with gold. Wedged in between the two flowers at the top is a side profile of Heidi's face. On the center of the cover is the title and author in gold leafing. On the spine of the book are lines of dark green and gold at the top and bottom. Also at the top of the spine is the title of the book written in gold with a flourish underneath. Below the title is the last name of the author and a white flower lined in gold. At the bottom is a red and orange stripped stripe with "GCW" written in cursive above the name of the publishing company and stands for Gustine Courson Weaver. Placed in between the two first blank pages is a piece of paper likely from the dust jacket giving a synopsis of the book. Within the book are black and white illustrations, one of which is on the first page of chapter two: At the Grandfather's. The illustration of Heidi standing outside of her Grandfather's cabin while her grandfather sits on a bench against the cabin wall holding a smoking pipe. Heidi is standing barefoot on the grass with her shoes next to her. Beyond the cabin are mountains dotted with evergreen trees.
