McCarter and Cason would like to remind Fletcher of upcoming "renewal" sessions for the 1990 and 1991 Institute participants and other art specialists belong to the district. The first event will be held October 19th, at the UNT Art Department to discuss practical ideas on talking with kids about art and ways of introducing art history to children, however, they will be unable to pay the teachers to attend these renewal sessions but a lunch will be provided.

The Centennial Capital Campaign will focus on the solicitation and acquisition of monetary gifts from private sources for the ideal goal for the University to expand as it is continuously growing. Many of the private sources will be North Texas alumni, corporations, private foundations and friends of the University. Incorporated in the summary is a schedule for the campaign.

Pilot Points ISD success stems from contributing factors such as being a consortium member of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, a group devoted to research and development of discipline-based art education.

The North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts is one of the six programs supported by the Getty Education Institute's fund to train staff and educators to conduct research in the practice of discipline-based art education and then implement that knowledge into the school curriculum.
