Davis understands that the need for space is great, but NTIEVA has proven themselves to be a viable operation with consistent external funding for its program, along with a major outreach for UNT. Davis writes that in the last five years the Institute has generated more than 1,400,000 in grant funds and has only grown more steadily with each passing year. Thus with the expansion of the program, Davis requests more space to continue their operations as their previous space has become overly crowded.

However, since NTIEVA's projected budget exceeds the minimum they are going to continue to seek additional support to meet the demands for their current and future projects. Davis and McCarter continue to write that Jan Muhlert, Director of the Amon Carter Museum has agreed to chair the Advisory Committee for the Institute, a position that was vacated when E.A.
