The attached letter is written to Dr. Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys from E. J. Miller, Judge, 35th Judicial District, Brownwood, Texas dated July 16, 1941. Miller reports on the proceedings regarding Ellison vs. Texas Liquor Board, advises to await the action of the Court of Civil Appeals and gives a brief itinerary of his travel and work to date and for the next two weeks requesting further remittance as soon as it may be convenient.

Carswell requests a reply to a letter written on March 6 in regards to the question of what Christian Colleges are doing about the use of Beverage Alcohol.

Taylor advises that they have no practical study on the effects of alcohol but approach the problem through classes in science, physical education and health.

Schneck confirms the plans for a show the week of March 17th, under the auspices of the Post. Krueger expresses his appreciation for the invitation to attend the Army Day Celebration in Abilene but declines due to a previous invitation.

Rather recounts the events of the morning both before and after they received Carswell's letter, describes the new membership as a pleasant surprise and advises that Carswell has saved his Division while reviving a "goose-egg" Post.
