This is the libretto of "Orfeo ed Euridice" by Ranieri de Calzabigi, published in vol 2 of "Raccolta di melodrammi serj scritti nel secolo XVIII." The original volume contains works by Apostolo Zeno, Giuseppe Parini, Marco Coltellini, Castone Rezzonico della Torre, Ranieri de Calsabigi, and F. Saverio de Rogati. On the back of the t.p. appears a quote in Virgil's "Georg.," iv, 465: "Te dulcis conjux, te solo in littore mecum, te veniente die, te discedente canebam." The libretto includes a prologue and list of characters.

The collection was bound in Yonkers, New York, which strongly suggests a location for the owner, and digitized historical newspapers and genealogical records do show a prominent Schieffelin family in that city. Three quarters of the titles in the volume are variations, of which five were composed from various sources by Henri Herz. The collection includes a variety of publishers and locations in Europe and the United States. Where dates can be determined, they range from 1821 through the 1840s.

This is ca. 1820 vocal score of Handel's oratorio Saul. The orchestra reduction for piano is credited to J.F. [Johann Friedrich] Naue. The hand-written date 1738 that appears at the top of the t.p. underneath Saul corresponds to the year when Handel composed the oratorio. The music parts for the soloists (soprano alto tenor, bass) and the chorus appear at the top of the piano reduction staff.

A collection of Anglican chants, harmonized and with figured bass, without words. This item is numbered as copy 567, and is signed by the editors. Substantial space is given to a list of subscribers, and brief biographical information on the composers.

This volume contains Mozart's piano sonatas in A major (K. 331), F major (K. 332), B-flat major (K. 333), D major (K. 284), A minor (K. 310), and D major (K. 311). It is a later issue of an 1810 edition, with a new plate number added.

Bound compilation of sheet music from the collection of Thurman Morrison. The contents were assembled by Edith Mills Peachey, and the 57 works in this volume include multiple ballads, quadrilles, polkas, and waltzes, with five different compositions by Henry Russell. Other composers with two works in the collection include Edwin Flood, Charles E. Horn, Louis Antoine Jullien, and Camille Schubert. About half of the works were published or co-published by the Musical Bouquet Office. All titles were published in London, but they cover a geographical scope including the British Isles and continental Europe, along with past and contemporaneous areas of British colonization in North America and India.

Bound compilation of sheet music from the collection of Thurman Morrison, compiled by Mary Alsop King Waddington, an author who was born in New York, but lived in France beginning in 1871, and was married to French statesman William Henry Waddington. This volume consists largely of excerpts from operatic works, particularly by Gaetano Donizetti, Saverio Mercadante, Gioacchino Rossini, and Giuseppe Verdi. Most works were published in Paris, with a few published in Mayence (present-day Mainz), Vienna, and Boston.
