The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast expressed approval for DoD’s BRAC 2005 recommendations, but believes the realignment recommendation affecting the Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU) at Cape Canaveral Air Station missed significant factors that run counter to the Department's emphasis on transformation, joint basing, and efficiencies that can drive true cost-savings.
