From purpose and scope: The purpose and scope of this report is to present the factors that have caused the water-table rise in the East New York section of Brooklyn. The rising water table in Kings County is not sudden or new; it has a history of more than two decades. It will refocus attention on the problem of changing ground-water levels in areas where intensive ground-water pumping has ceased or is occurring.

Patent for an apparatus that can be built at moderate cost, which will enable a high rate of commercially efficient work to reduce "the specific gravity of various grades of hyrdo-carbon oils, especially those of a semi-refined character" (lines 22 - 24).

Patent for the binder-deck of harvesters "and it consists, broadly, of a flexible deck having its lateral edges fixed and its middle portion hinged at one edge and free at the other, and means for automatically lowering the latter when the bundle of grain is to be discharged in order that the discharge may be facilitated" (lines 11-17).
