National Uranium Resource Evaluation: Ritzville Quadrangle, Washington

From Introduction: "The Ritzville Quadrangle, in north-central Washington between lat. 47ºN. and 48ºN. and long 118ºW and 120ºW. (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for the occurrence of uranium deposits. Favorable environments, as determined by surface and subsurface investigations, are those that could contain uranium deposits of at least 100 tons U3O8 in rocks with an average grade not less than 100 ppm U3O8."

This report on Washington is one of a series intended to preserve the data collected for GEOTHERM and make the data available to the public. Three computer-generated indexes are found in appendices A, B, and C of this report. The indexes give one line summaries of each GEOTHERM record describing the chemistry of geothermal springs and wells in the sample file for Washington. Each index is sorted by different variables to assist the user in locating geothermal records describing specific sites. Appendix A is sorted by county name and the name of the source.
