From introduction: This report is a status report to complete present contract obligations and is submitted in lieu of a Final Report. A Final Report is not feasible especially until complete analyses and statistical treatment of all of the 436 rock chip, 2 soil-rock and 90 water samples, a total of 528 samples submitted by the partners to Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, plus remaining analyses to be run by BFEC's Grand Junction Laboratory become available and other recommendations and necessities are done. A Final Report may be prepared by the partners if supplemental funds for such work and for completion of the analyses and their statistical treatment ever become available.

From abstract: Results of a reconnaissance geochemical survey of the Grand Island Quadrangle, Nebraska; Kansas are reported. Statistical data and areal distributions for uranium and uranium-related variables are presented for 564 groundwater and 532 stream sediment samples. Also included is a brief discussion on location and geologic setting.

From abstract: This abbreviated data report presents results of ground water and stream/surface sediment reconnaissance in the National Topographic Map Series (NTMS) McDermitt 1 x 2* quadrangle. Surface sediment samples were collected at 1337 sites, at a target sampling density of one site per 13 square kilometers (five square miles). Ground water samples were collected at 255 sites and surface water samples were collected at 41 sites. Neutron activation analysis (NAA) results are given for uranium and 16 other elements in sediments, and for uranium and 9 other elements in ground water and surface water. Mass spectrometry results are given for helium in ground water. Field measurements and observations are reported for each site. Analytical data and field measurements are presented in tables and maps.

From abstract: Results of the Marysvale detailed geochemical survey are reported. Field and laboratory data are presented for 397 stream sediment samples and 160 radiometric readings. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the area is provided, and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.
