Patent for a combined vegetable slicer and grater that consists of a main frame with vertical arms and bearings, a screw that attaches the arms to the frame, a shaft journaled with an annular flange into the bearings, a cylinder made of sheet metal that serves as knives, and spring tongues that regulate the thickness of the cut vegetables.

Patent for an improved anti-oscillating attachment for street-cars. It has a car truck, equalizing pivoting bars secured between the truck ends, cushions on either side of the bars, adjustable bolts that hold the bars in place, and springs between the bolts.

Patent for a simple and efficient car coupling that easily couples by impact, and can uncouple without going between cars.

Patent for the construction of "metallic spokes" for bicycles and similar wheels (Lines 12-13) which use broad or double tire wheels (line 15).

Patent for a vehicle-wheel that has cushioned, pneumatic, or elastic tires, shoulders, inwardly extending parallel branches, a felly that holds the branches in place and curves around the body of the tire, bolts that go through the felly and the branches, and spokes inside the felly.

Patent for a trawl-line that is supported so that it "can be caused to travel continuously in the same or reversed directions at will" (lines 12-14). The invention prevents "the choking of the line supporting pulleys with grasses and other foreign matter, and also to enable the ready adjustment of the pulley son the posts to change the elevation of the trawl-line and the depth of dip of the hooks in the water" (lines 16-21).

Patent for a suspended rail-joint that improves on the anglebar railjoint. The improved design has the minimum amount of bolts, does not use railbolts, has a newly designed fastener, allowance for the rails to expand and contract, and adjustable guards against creeping.

Patent for a hook and eye especially designed for clothing and keeps the area where the invention is being used is perfectly aligned and does not accidentally unhook.

Patent for "an improved soot-preventing composition, which is used by being sprinkled over the coal and which furnished a more complete combustion of the carbon-particles carried along by the products of combustion, so that the deposit of soot into smoke-pipes, flues and chimneys is prevented from forming cinders and large clinkers." Patent for a paper file that has "an index board or cover that it can be moved along the transfer wires from one side of the bottom boards to the other, the same as papers and with or without papers attached to it, and so that when brought around on top of the bottom board and interposed papers it will form therewith a book in which the papers or blanks will be retained for the ready reference or for such use as may be required" (lines 24-33). Papers can be punched with a mechanism on the invention so that papers can be placed onto the retaining wires.

Patent for a device that protects boats and consists of supporting plates, two of which are firmly secured to the side of the boat, springs between the supporting plates, and chains that limit the movement of supporting plates.
