Patent for an airship with multiple gas bags inside an outer enclosing casing, which maintain the buoyancy of the airship in case one or more of the smaller bags should rupture. This airship also supports one or more persons other than the pilot, has an "envelop adapted to serve as a parachute in the event of danger", and can "alight upon and rise from the surface of a body of water".

Patent for an eye testing device that has a movable lens, a measuring device for correction, and two different cards with test type on them which are fed into the machine during testing for astigmatism and myopia, presbyopia, and hyperopia to determine the level of correction needed in glasses.

This design "will automatically fold up within the bed when the same is closed, and will similarly open out with the opening of the bed without any other attention than the proper arrangement of the folds of the mosquito or fly netting" (lines 21-25). It consists in "an automatically raising and lowering canopy consisting of a raising-frame having vertical bars pivoted to the bed at the bottom and a horizontal connecting-bar at the top, a canopy-top frame pivoted to the bed-casing, having side bars and a horizontal connecting-bar, and couplings" (lines 13-19).

Patent for a draft-rigging for railway-cars that consists of a metal plate in an inverted U-shape, with its legs doubled upward and attached to the middle sills of the car, and the option of attaching a coupler to the plate. The plate legs can receive a king bolt ransom.

Patent for a new and improved fan attachment. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the sewing-machine table and the upright of the fan-supporting frame, of the triangular base provided with a rubber-covered base hinged to a sleeve adjustably fitted upon said upright" (lines 111-115).

Patent for a new and improved fan for rocking furniture. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the fan-supporting frame . . . the fan adjustably journaled to the bar, and the holding forks pivoted to uprights of the fan pivoted to the ends of the horizontal arms of the frame, all arranged to form a set of fans for front and rear service" (lines 94-100).

Patent for a simple and durable grubber that has "a frame preferably carrying a caster-wheel at front, guiding-handles at rear, vertical cutting knives or shares at its sides, penetrating shares or points at the lower ends of said knives, and a transverse or horizontal knife or share at rear of said points, preferably in substantially the same plane therewith, and adjustable mounted to be tilted or inclined out of the horizontal and adjusting handles for the transverse share" (lines 20-30).

Patent for "a new and useful improvement in side-saddles, and consists in forming the saddle-tress hollow, or with air-chambers within." (Lines 9-11) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for improvements in the "interior mechanism for operating the breech-block and resisting the recoil, and in the combination of parts". Patent that increases strength and capability to resist recoil, increases the charge of powder.
