Patent for "a crude-oil burner especially adapted for use in cooking and heating stoves and in fireplaces;" including illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved broom rack. This design "compris[es] the lower ring provided in its outer edge with a series of notches adapted to receive the head of the brooms, the upper ring arranged to fit within the opening of the lower ring when not in use and provided with a series of perforations to receive the handles of the brooms, the chains or other suitable means for connecting the rings, and the chains . . . secured to the upper rings" (lines 79-88).

Patent for a new and improved roller and protector for maps and charts. This design consists, "with the case having longitudinal slot at its under side, the caps upon the ends of the case and formed with ears, the springs upon the case having their ends engaging the ends of the caps, metal bearings in the ends of the caps, the roller within the case with its pintles journaled in said bearings, and the cord wound upon the roller at one end in a reverse direction to the article carried by the roller with its free end passed through the opening in the under side of the cap at that end of the roller" (lines 21-32).

Patent for cranking device to start internal combustion engines and designed specifically for automobiles.

Patent for "window attachments, being in the nature of means for carrying the shade-roller and lace-curtain on the upper sash and devices whereby the sashes may be locked when closed or opened to any desired extent;" (lines 8-13) and illustrations.

Patent for improvements in wire-tighteners with an illustration. Specifically, the patented improvement is for a "device" that can "be used for the purpose of tightening strands of wire of a wire fence" (lines 11-14).

Patent for improvement in running gears for wagons. Improvement for class of vehicles in which the axles revolve with the wheels.

Patent for a new spring hinge design which will "either open or close the door or gate after it has passed an angle of forty-five degrees" (lines 20-22) including illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved trace-carrier. This design consists in "[a] back-band hook comprising a buckle provided with a lower cross-bar constructed of two parts having their inner adjacent ends terminating in depending hooks arranged parallel with each other and separated by a space and provided with inwardly-projecting ends partially closing the mouths of the hooks, the swinging hooks arranged in the space between the parallel hooks" (lines 90-98).

Patent for a new and improved millstone-dress. This design is "to provide a millstone-dress having angular furrows intersecting the main furrows of the stone and of gradually increasing depth from their outward extremities to the point where they intersect the main furrows, said angular furrows being oppositely inclined upon the upper and lower stones to form a perfect cutting system, to discharge the grain over the face of the stone and throw it toward the skirt or edge thereof, thereby giving a good draft" (lines 30-41).

Patent for projectiles, more particularly to an explosive projectile. "One of the main objects of the invention is to provide a shell of the character stated which may be produced at relatively small cost..."

Patent for a telegraph repeater. This invention improves repeaters by eliminating lag by simplifying the apparatus which increases capacity and clarity in transmission by maintaining a larger current strength.

Patent for a machine "for making envelopes, paper bags, and the like wherein the blank which is to form the envelope or bag is automatically fed into the machine at its receiving end by a suitable feeder and is folded and gummed on its way through the machine, being finally delivered in a marketable condition at the delivery end of the machine" (lines 10-17).

Patent for improvements to engine starters that enable the driver of an automobile to start an engine by applying pressure to foot pedals.

Patent for improvements in shears “for use in cutting heavy materials, in which the shears can be readily operated in connection with a base-plate to slide beneath the material being cut and can be detached from said base-plate in order to permit the operation of the shears without the said base-plate.” (Lines 28-34) Illustration is included.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "consists in a car-coupling formed of two coupling-hooks pivoted on a pivot projecting from the bottom of the car, which coupling hooks pass through an inverted-V-shaped guide-slot in the guide-plate, held in front of the pivot, and the said coupling-hooks are connected with a vertically-moveable bar for raising the coupling-hooks. The coupling hooks are raised and their free ends are pressed together, and if then the coupling-hooks are released they swing downward and their free ends are separated" (lines 7-18).
