Patent for a simple and economical stalk breaking machine "which shall admit of the team straddling the adjoining row, and the driving wheel to run in the furrow or stubble" (lines 11-13). The driver sits on one side so they do not get hit with debris. The frame and stalk breakers mechanism are mounted on the running gear of a mower or reaper, and is easily disconnected.

Patent for a womb-battery that has "an advantageous electrical or galvanic device adapted, when placed in the womb of a patient where it will be subject to the chemical action of the mucous fluid, to develop a mild electric action and thereby stimulate the generative organs and promote the cure of the various diseases peculiar to the female sex" (lines 13-20). It also is not easily displaced and is easily adjusted.

Patent for an inexpensive and simple trunk strap fastener meant to "insure a strong tightening of the same without resorting to the old laborious method of buckling the strap about the baggage, while at the same time the invention also contemplates the employment of a specific arrangement of the strap about the article being bound therewith, in combination with the fastener proper whereby a stronger and more efficient strapping is effected" (lines 16-25).

Patent for a combined lock and door hinge for a door where it "is automatically locked or held in a set position without special adjustment or manipulation, and by which, by the adjustment of a member provided for that purpose, the door may be locked permanently in any desired position" (lines 12-17). It is especially meant for screen doors, coach doors in railway cars, shutters, &c.

Patent for a type-writing machine that has an improved variable line spacer. The simple and durable line spacer has the minimum number of parts and is easily adjustable to any distance.

Patent for a lantern "in which a candle is used as a light-giving medium, and in which the chimney is tightly supported on the base of the lantern and around the candle, so that the light is fully protected against extinguishment by wind, and a cheap and convenient article is supplied" (lines 9-15). The lantern has a raised base with a candle socket in the middle, and the glass chimney is securely attached to the base. A frame and handle is attached to the base and top of the chimney.

Patent for a station-indicator for trolley cars meant to "produce an automatic apparatus of this kind which is worked by the movement of the car and in which a map is employed, which is moved in such a way that the various points at which the car stops will always be correctly indicated" (lines 13-18).

Patent for an inexpensive and simple plow attachment meant to convert the single foot plow stock into a double shovel plow or a gang plow. The attachment is adjustable in order to "straddle the rows to be cultivated; and finally, means for adjusting the standards of the plow whereby the same are adapted to run at any desired depth" (lines 16-20).

Patent for a rotary tire-heater that used for and movably supported near a blacksmith's forge, where it can be swung over for use when needed. It economizes time and fuel, and is automatically adjustable.

Patent for simple, efficient, and reliable "a governor for regulating the quantity of seed cotton which is delivered to one or more feeders or gins by a seed-cotton handling apparatus" (lines 13-16). The operator sets the amount of cotton being sent through the gin. The invention has a receiver of a cotton handling mechanism, another mechanism that cuts off the supply of cotton after a desired amount has passed, and the invention can easily be started again after the gin is emptied.

Patent for a hay-press that has a oscillating sweep-arm on the plunger so that the plunger's movements are minimized and the hay can be pressed faster.

Patent for a light, strong, and durable harrow attachment for plows or cultivators that has has harrow or cultivator teeth which can be securely fastened on the harrow-bar.

Patent for a simple, durable, and easy to use gate-latch for swinging gates in which the lock latches move vertically. The latch is on the gate, and a catch is mounted on the post.

Patent for a device that keeps sand from being lost during delivery and "whereby the emitting nozzle is kept clear and prevented from clogging up or freezing" (lines 15-17). It is an improvement on sanding devices.

Patent for "an improvement in the construction of road pavements, and has for its objects to provide a novel, simple, and comparatively inexpensive method and means for the speedy and convenient construction of a road bed, which will be smooth, durable, easy to travel upon, be readily repaired, avoid becoming slippery, that will not cut into ruts but preserve its normal condition, that will shed water in a large degree but retain a proper amount of moisture, and be non-liable to displacement by the action of frost." Patent for a cooking stove that uses heat from a charcoal furnace efficiently, which increases the length the stove is hot and decreases the risk of suffocation from the gas given off by the furnace.

Patent for a seed-sowing attachment for plows which can "drop the seed in a furrow as it is made by the plow, and after it is covered by the formation of a successive furrow, and thereby complete the sowing or drilling process simultaneously with the plowing operation" (lines 14-19).

Patent for a rail joint that consists of a chair with a base plate and inwardly projecting flanges, a rail web, two plates that hook under the flanges and hold the rail in place, and two bolts that go through the plates and the rail.

Patent for "an improved method of and apparatus for making concrete monuments and tombstones" (lines 9-11) and makes harder and sets faster than other methods. The end result is meant to look like polished stone.
