This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a base-plate and spaced posts upon one face of the said plate grooved on their adjacent sides, of a spring-actuated lever provided with a cylindrical surface at one end and a flange projecting from the outer face beyond said surface, the opposite extremity of the lever being curved to form, essentially, a hook, the cylindrical surface being adapted for engagement with one post and the hook extremity with the other post" (lines 71-81).
